History tells us that Roman gladiators flavored their food with Finocchietto, believing it to be a source of strength. We would be inclined to agree with the gladiators. Finocchietto is a fine savory digestif and a cooking staple in many Neapolitan kitchens. A clean, vegetal and fresh anise flavor, with an unmistakable fragrance and taste.
